Thunder has been predicted, along with showers and gales, and gusts of wind that could be anything up to 50-55 mph. There is a likely chance of flooding and, in some parts of East Anglia, an amber warning for severe weather has been issued. There should be a low pollen count.

Actual weather:
It is 13°C outside an East South Easterly wind. There are heavy downpours and it is cold outside.

The weather should be windy and sunny, along with some heavy showers. It could also be thundery at times. The showers will be most frequent and prolonged across Essex. Elsewhere, the showers will be more scatted. Temperatures should range between 10-15°C. There should be a moderate pollen count.

Actual weather:
Today the weather is quite cool but the sun is out and there is only a light covering of cloud. There is strong wind and the temperature outside is 14°C. There seems to be a lot of pollen in the air but not much wind. (01:20PM)

It rained heavily this afternoon but this only lasted for a few hours. The temperature dropped but the wind didn't seem to lessen at all. (05:00PM)

Showers and longer spells of rain are predicted. There is a chance of thunder, but also some brighter spells. Temperatures should range between 10-15°C. There should be a moderate pollen count.

Actual weather:

Today there have been heavy showers throughout the day but, when the rain stops, it is cloudy and relatively cool. There is not much wind and there seems to be a moderate amount of pollen in the air.

Thursday 27th September 2012:

There should be thundery showers, gradually easing. Temperature should range between 11-14°C. There should be a moderate pollen count.

Actual weather:

Today the weather has been light and pleasant. There was a small amount of drizzle earlier at perhaps seven or eight o'clock but, other than that, it is nice enough, if a little cool. There seems to be rather a lot of pollen in the air although that has improved as the day has gone on. It is not cold but it rather overcast - however, the sun can actually be seen today which is a vast improvement to my previous entries. (11:00AM)

At about half four, it rained heavily for almost an hour and only now is clearing up. The sky is cloudy and overcast, but there are patches of blue. (05:52PM)

The weather should be mainly dry and bright. Temperature should range between 8-13°C. There should be a moderate pollen count.

Actual weather:

Today has been quite sunny, although now very warm. It has been very windy out and there was at least one rainy spell around midday. There did not seem to be a high pollen count. (05:21PM)

Mostly dry weather, with a few sunny spells. Isolated showers in the afternoon are possible. Breezy with a low pollen count.

Actual weather:


Today has been very sunny, with a few white/grey clouds but mainly blue sky. There doesn't seem to be much pollen in the air and there is a strong breeze. It is reasonably warm, perhaps 12-13°C.

Sunday 30th September 2012:

There should be bright weather with some sunshine. There should be a low pollen count and the temperature should be about 13-15°C. It should become increasingly cloudy throughout the day.

Actual weather:

Today the weather has been overcast but there are some sunny spells. It is reasonably windy and there doesn't seem to be much pollen in the air. There has been no rain as if yet. The temperature is
about 14°C.

I looked at BBC Weather and the MET Office Weather - I chose to use BBC Weather since the website itself is clearer, the map uses weather symbols that are much simpler than those on the MET Office Weather website, and the maps themselves are simpler and easier to read.

Overall, I preferred the BBC Weather website because it was clearer and easier to navigate, which was why I chose to use that website, since I would be using it everyday for the purposes of my blog.
